A worship service or a ministry event brings with it an increased risk of being exposed to Covid 19.  In consultation with medical professionals, Wesley has structured our services and activities with the goal of offering church community in the safest possible way. We strongly urge those who are elderly or those who have health conditions making them more susceptible to negative effects from this virus to consider worshiping safely on one of our online platforms.

  • We are asking anyone who has signs of illness or has been exposed to Covid 19 to please worship with us online and to refrain from attending Wesley functions in person. Temperature checks are encouraged prior to attendance.
  • We are asking that our congregation wear masks in worship and recommend masks at Wesley events. Mask wearing for children is at the parent’s discretion.
  • Social distancing is expected and encouraged at all Wesley events.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are readily available.
  • Frequent and thorough cleaning is taking place.
  • Worship services and other in-building events will last no more than 45 minutes.
  • We are refraining from singing and congregational responses that might spread the virus.
  • Any food offered at Wesley events will be distributed individually. Communion will be served through pre-packaged material and shared touching of materials will be avoided.
  • We ask those who begin to feel ill at a Wesley event to safely remove themselves from others and head home.
  • We ask those who test positive for Covid 19 and feel they may have been carrying the virus while attending an event at Wesley to contact the church office at 706-869-0888. You will be notified by email if you have attended a Wesley event that had the possibility of exposure.
