Pre-School Music
Our pre-school children have lots of fun with Miss Betsy and her helpers. They play music games and learn fun songs to sing in worship throughout the year. Music is wrapped up in their WOW experience so their music teacher will come to their classroom at some point in their hour with us on Wednesday.
Cantate – 1st and 2nd Grade Get 2010-2011 Information Form Here
Cantate (Kahn-tah-tay) rehearses on Wednesday nights from 6-6:30PM in room 14 on the Children’s Wing. Parents bring their singers to their WOW classroom and a teacher will escort the children who choose to participate in choir to Miss Michele’s music classroom. These singers learn vocal exercises, music reading, and wonderful songs to sing in worship throughout the year. They will occasionally partner with Young musicians to sing special anthems for worship.
Young Musicians – 3rd – 5th Grade Get 2010-2011 Information Form Here
Young Musicians rehearse on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 7PM in room 14 on the Children’s Wing. Parents bring their singers to their WOW classroom and a teacher will escort the children who choose to participate in choir to Miss Michele’s music classroom. These singers learn vocal exercises, music reading, and wonderful songs to sing in worship throughout the year. They will occasionally partner with the Cantate, the Youth Choir and the Adult Choir for special anthems throughout the year. Young Musician members are also invited to participate in the Orff Ensemble.

The Wesley Orff Ensemble rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:00-7:30 PM in room 14 on the Children’s Wing. Those who participate in this instrumental ensemble learn music reading, performance skill and instrumental pieces that are played in worship throughout the year. The ensemble will occasionally partner with the Pre-School Choir, Cantate and Young Musicians on anthems for worship. This group is open to any member of Young Musicians who wishes to participate.
