UMW has four meetings a year including a Mother/Daughter banquet. Their pledge is to missions, including but not limited to children homes, day cares, overseas Christian schools, Indian reservations, and prison ministries. An annual offering for prison ministries is the “Don’t Come Party” which takes place in July.

We are proud to be a part of the single largest organization of women in the world.

Every United Methodist Church is mandated by the Methodist Discipline to have UNW in their church.

This organization is for women who are between the ages of 18 and 105. You are not automatically a member just because you have joined Wesley UMC. You must sign up, make an annual pledge to Missions, and try to attend the 4 general meetings held each year. The important emphasis is MISSIONS. 90% of your pledges go to missions in the United States and around the world. You do not have to join a circle, but that is the fun, and fellowship of the UMW. Study and spiritual growth are emphaszied in all programs in the UMW, as weel.

Our goals for 2007-2008 are:

  • To enlist 500 new members
  • To surpass our pledge to our missions goal
  • To hold an annual church-wide offering for our prision ministry
  • To hold an annual mission study
  • To organize one or more new circles

Sign up this Sunday at the Welcome Desk at Wesley. You will be contacted by our Membership Chairperson to answer all your questions.
