| WOW Bible Studies Wednesday Nights -Begins January 11th
The Pastor’s Bible Study-Led by Rev. Greg Porterfield this book discussion group will focus on the Timothy Keller book The Reason for God. The book addresses the frequent doubts that skeptics and non-believers bring to religion. Using literature, philosophy, anthropology, pop culture, and intellectual reasoning, Keller explains how the belief in a Christian God is, in fact, a sound and rational one. To true believers he offers a solid platform on which to stand against the backlash toward religion spawned by the Age of Skepticism. And to skeptics, atheists, and agnostics he provides a challenging argument for pursuing the reason for God. Celebration Space, 6:00-7:00
Go Fish, An Andy Stanley Video/ Discussion Study – Fishing stories. We've all heard them. "It was this big." "You should have seen the one that got away." People love to tell stories of their fishing adventures. When it comes to faith, however, most people clam up. Why can't we talk about what God has done in our lives as naturally as we can spin fishing tales? In this video/discussion series, Andy Stanley explores the motivation behind sharing your faith and how it can become a natural part of your life. Led by Jay Dolce. Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 in room 26.
Wesley Mom’s Group – Hey Wesley mom, are you a follower of Jesus? Don't answer too quickly. To think this through, join this group as we study, “Not a Fan” before you answer. This book will help you to 'define the relationship' with Christ. You may indeed be a passionate, fully devoted follower of Jesus. Or, you may be living more like a fan who admires Jesus but isn't ready to let him completely in. In any case, don't take the question “Are you a follower of Jesus?” lightly. Our Wesley Moms group feels strongly that the most effective way to be the best mother you can be is to intentionally seek the relationship with Christ that He longs to have with you. When we get that on the right track, we are more equipped to love how He would have us love. Room 24, 6:00-7:00
Wesley Dad’s Group – No Books, no Homework- Join this friendly and talkative group of guys as they look at the Bible and how it can be applied to their lives today. This season the group will be doing a study on Paul, Living for Christ. Get connected with a group of men who wish to be connected to the word of God together. Led by Charles Cason, Dan May and Eric Hinds.
Room 25, 6:00-7:00
Women's Ministries
Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. This video/workbook study is 8 weeks.

Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Study, The Gospel of John -John is to many people the most precious book in the Bible. If you could use some encouragement to be in God’s Word and would love to have caring people with which to carve out the meaning of God’s words through discussion, join in this lively group. Thursdays 9:45-11:00, Led by Holly Bullock, Begins January 12th in room 21.
Tuesday Study Group, The Way of Forgiveness -It takes a lot of willingness and practice to see life from God's perspective. Perhaps nothing goes more against the grain of human nature than the ideas of forgiving those who wound us and accepting forgiveness from others. The Way of Forgiveness explores how to deal with these issues to preserve "the beauty of our souls" and to fulfill the teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. In this eight-week study, Companions in Christ breaks down the transformational process by first examining shame, guilt, and anger. A full release of these feelings not only leads to the wholeness that Christ taught but also takes us on a path of freedom and joy. Tuesdays 10-11:30, Led by Mary Carolyn Thigpen, Begins January 10th in room 21.
